Meet REP-SF Hero for Housing Justice, Jacquelynn Evans!
Jacquelynn is a Housing Justice Advocate at REP-SF member organization, the Coalition on Homelessness. The Coalition on Homelessness organizes with homeless people and frontline service providers to fight for dignified and safe housing for all of San Francisco.
We sat down with Jacquelynn to hear her story, learn what inspired her to join the housing justice movement, and find out what keeps her motivated to fight for community-driven solutions. Watch or listen to Jacquelynn’s full interview below!
“What motivated me to get involved in housing justice work is the injustice that I have seen as a woman of color. As a youth who was in foster care and as a single mother, I wasn’t always accepted or getting what I needed in the housing system. I began to advocate for solutions through the Coalition on Homelessness.”
